Lounge or bar in KAIKA TOKYO by THE SHARE HOTELS

This hotel is one of the nicest I've stayed in. Firstly it's in a really relaxed and charming part of the city, but near lots of great stuff. We much preferred it to staying in Shinjuku (which we did later on our trip). The hotel itself is really quiet and relaxing and cool. It's modern and filled with interesting art in small gallery rooms as well as throughout the hotel. The room is designed nicely (modern, sockets on either side of the bed that were built into the bedside tables, the lighting was soft and relaxing). Plus, the staff were delightful and we had nice chats with them. I wasn't feeling well when I arrived and they were really kind and caring and they asked how I was feeling the next day. When it was raining they ran after us to give us umbrellas. Etc. I thought it was great value for money. There weren't many breakfast options but what we had was really nice and set us up for the day and I thought the coffee was good!

Lobby or reception in KAIKA TOKYO by THE SHARE HOTELS

This has to be one of the best hotels that my partner and I have ever stayed in. It exudes a lot of charm, and you can tell there was a lot of thought and quality that was put into the construction of the space and rooms. It is located about a 10~15min walk from Asakusa station (either the Ginza Line or the Toei Asakusa Line), and placed in a quaint neighbourhood with plenty of konbinis nearby. Rooms on the upper floor are easily accessible via the lifts, and the reception has staff till midnight! The hotel functions also as an art space/gallery, with art pieces/installations in the lifts, along the walls, and in the basement! The hotel room is extremely extremely cosy and comfortable. Clean beds and pillows, great AC, and strong WIFI! There's a big TV with netflix available, freakin' awesome. They provide room service every alternate day, with an emphasis on being environmentally conscientious, which we respect and follow too. Special mention for the bathroom/shower room. It is incredible. Unique wall material in the shower area, and the mood lighting was just a great touch. It's definitely a luxury, not necessary at all, but such a cool touch by the hotel. It really makes your stay special and memorable. Everyday that we took a shower, we just felt so in awe. Sounds ridiculous I know, so people should definitely book a stay here and experience it themselves. Staff were all very kind and friendly, especially when we checked in quite late (close to midnight), and also when we had questions about leaving our luggage after check-out. Cleaning staff were very respectful and friendly too! No issues at all. Kaika was a big highlight of our holiday, and we would definitely come back again. Thank you for the great experience. Love the space, we miss it already!

It was located in a super trendy art storage with a really cool cafe located at the property. There were complementary gowns, slippers, razors etc… we stayed in the family room or 6 people and although we knew it would be a little tight - we were surprised at the use of space! Well thought out! It was fantastic! Staff are amazing! They were there when we arrived at 12pm for check in and super helpful. Best thing it’s 6 min walk to Asakusa station!

This stay was amazing! It was a 10 minute walk from the nearest station and we loved that it was really close to the Skytree! We enjoyed walking back to the hotel and seeing it at night! Lots of amenities and the lounge was nice! We didn't get a chance to try out the cafe inside but we enjoyed seeing the many art paintings and sculptures around the hotel. Will be staying here again on my next visit! Thank you KAIKA staff!

Funky and friendly staff at reception. The laundry was useful and there was a large dining area downstairs for consuming your own food and drinks.

The hotel was super cool and very quiet. Our pre teen boys loved the loft sleeping area. It was a short walk to Asakusa train station which is on the line from the airport and also is a Ginza train line station which takes you to Shibuya. The robes were a nice touch and having the separate toilet and roomy shower together was great. Lastly, we wanted to buy some of the art!

Amazing stay, will definitely stay here again! The rooms were very big and clean, perfect for groups and families. I love that the toilet and shower are separated. The facilities are very modern as well. The staff was lovely and helpful. Felt like a luxurious stay. Our price was a lot higher than usual because we booked last minute, but during normal times, the fee is reasonable. The location is also more residential so you get the quietness at night, but Asakusa station is a 10-minute walk away so it’s also convenient. Overall, really loved it and would definitely stay again!

Excellent, classy hotel nearby both Asakusa and Kuramae stations (10 min each). Also within 5 minutes walk of a convenience store. Unless you have trouble walking the location is not an issue, we could get to Akihabara, Ginza, other areas on this side of Tokyo pretty quickly. The neighbourhood is quiet, suburban, and beautiful, crossing the river each day gives you great views of the city. It takes about 45 mins to get to Shibuya which was maybe the only issue as we don't spend so much time in Asakusa, but the price was unmatched as we booked last minute. The hotel itself is immaculate and had an amazing exhibition in the foyer, the art storage is really fun to explore too. Has all the amenities you could require, staff are really helpful. When we stayed there were a lot of families with young kids also but we didn't tend to hear them as we had a room at the end of the corridor, but that is worth considering if you don't like too much noise. The Share Hotels are unbeatable in Japan for affordable, cosy, clean, stylish, neighbourhood vibes, make sure you check out their other branches in cities such as Kanazawa, Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima - we have stayed in them all and always choose to return, if there is a vacancy. Thank you!
